If they built the harness wrong it could be trying to power both lights off of the old harness' bulb plug. Only other reason for the issue would be both shrouds being broken, highly unlikely.ĮDIT: After some thought another idea may be causing this. If you are running off the stock harness than it may be trying to draw too much power to run the light and lift the high beam shroud. Since your lights are working I would assume that your ground is at least mostly working. If that is not where you want them make sure they are at least grounded well. It hooks up to one of your old headlight's cable only to trigger the relay and tell it to pull power from the battery to power your HIDs.īoth grounds should have been placed preferably behind the radiator mount. Should have a relay built into it and it will draw power directly from the battery. What you have, or at least should have been, supplied with is an adapter harness. If you had halogen lights, your stock headlight harness is not setup or designed to run Projectors. If you didnt have factory HID's, your truck's wiring most likely wouldn't have the HID fuses in them, which is why that isn't helping. Dawson is awesome to work with and provides fantastic service. I would reverse the charge for your supplier's harness, and order the harness through RaptorRetrofit. Where did you ground out both ballasts? Which headlight connection did you hook into? Who was your supplier? This is definitely a conversion harness issue. (I replaced no fuses on my conversion in my '12, and they are still running strong and working perfectly.) I highly recommend you go back to the correct size fuse and figure out where your problem lies. Popping fuses is putting too much current through the system, and increasing the fuse size increases the likelyhood of burning the wires. All the load comes directly from the battery.
